Appreciate, then you can...ring my bell (Part 38)...

 Perez Appreciation Post

I know I posted this before somewhere and I don't care, I'm posting it again.  It's the cover of Justice League Of America #200.  It's from roughly 1982 or 83, it's done by Perez and it is sheer perfection.  The story is that the original seven members are mind controlled by the aliens that caused the team to be formed in the first place.  And it's up the remaining remembers (minus, for whatever reason, Hawkwoman) to try to stop them.  Which they don't.  But of course in the end, everyone comes to their senses and they unite to take down those aliens.

The first part of the story is divided in to 7 parts and takes place in 7 different places.  Those s7 places are the backgrounds to the piece.   But the work also shows all the battles that take place in the first part as well: Martian Manhunter vs Firestorm, Batman vs Green Arrow and Black Canary, Aquaman vs Red Tornado, Superman vs Hawkman, Wonder Woman vs Zatanna, Flash vs Elongated Man and Green Lantern vs The Atom.

Perez also did the art inside, and the interior art AND story are pretty damn good and entertaining.  But it's the cover that's just a feast for the eyes!
