Perez Appreciation Post
The Maestro George Perez drew and co-wrote (with Marv Wolfman) the revolutionary mid 80s min-series Crisis On Infinite Earths. It condensed all the hundreds or thousands of different dimensions in DC Comics into one. I've always thought it was unnecessary and frankly stupid, but The Powers That Be at DC wanted it done, so they did it. The story was the best it could be, the artwork was of course exemplary.
At any rate, this is the cover of issue #5. It's the merging of Earth-1 and Earth-2 and shows the two Earths coming together AND it shows the headshots of a whole HORDE of characters from each earth! Amazing Perez work at this most amazing-ness.
Down the middle we have characters who were on both Earths, with half of their faces side by side. Top to bottom in that middle column we have: the Flashes, Supermen, Hawkmen, Wonder Women, The Atoms, Green Lanterns, Green Arrows, and I don't know who the bottom on is. Also, Perez also managed to get some other headshots in behind the front rows her...I'm not gonna even TRY to name those! I'll only do the ones up in front.
Then starting at the top row, going left to right, we have:
