Interesting chart, blow it up and look at it. The left column shows the CDC reported causes of death in the USA by category. The middle column shows the Google trends "Which causes do we worry about?". And the right column show what causes the NYTimes and Guardian paper report on in their papers.
Interesting because the actual numbers show that heart disease and cancer is the leading cause of death. but cancer is what people Google the most. But terrorism and homicide are what the newspapers talk about the most.
