 So....this weekend.

After work, I picked up Cedrik.  Didn't have to wait, it was great, as it always should be.  We decided to go get something to eat right away, he suggested Burger King, so there we went.  Actually got a pic of him wearing the paper crown.  He got one of me holding up a ketchup covered french fry.  Seems a fair comparison.

We came home and almost immediately had some great bedtimesexxyfun.  Following this (and a bit of cuddling and chatting) he wanted to take a bath and do some of his footcare.  And he did, while I came downstairs and read my book and got online.  When he was finished and came downstairs, we did some dishes (he washing, me drying) and cuddled on the sofa while watching a miniseries documentary The Americas.  That was quite nice to do that together, as a couple.   And we both got tired about the same time and went to bed together, chatted a bit and cuddled.

A terrible, but thankfully quick, thunderstorm passed through. We were chatting quietly and all of a sudden it sounded like a train was passing the house!  Teh window were being battered by the wind, then with rain, then there was the lightning.  The power went out, but a few seconds later came back up, and that's all the problem we had with that.  Other people I've heard are still without power.  Wal-Mart and a grocery store had to closed as they lost all power.  Trees were down everywhere.  The only thing I discovered wrong around the house was, the wind had blown by wrought iron patio table and chairs across the front porch and against the railing dividing mine and the neighbor's porch next door!  Crazy strong wind.

Sunday, we got up and got breakfast from Rutters (and I my coffee).  We hung out for a bit, doing nothing important, just chatting.  (We both had some gastrointestinal issues involving the toilet, separately thank God, that I'll not go into here.  But it made for a somewhat shitty day).   Eventually, we went to the cemetery and I put the hard boiled egg on pap's grave, as I do every year.  I also said a few words to him, grandma and my cousin infant daughter who's buried there too.  And, Cedrik came with me the graveside.  I "introduced" all three of them to him.  We held hands and I teared up a bit.

Following this, we went out to mom's retirement village. I showed him around a recreation area there (where also the residents have their garden plots) while he smoked a cigarette.  Then we went to mom's.

There, as every year, I had an Easter basket with the card, painted egg, and some sugar free candy.  And as expected, she also had a card, and egg and a chocolate bunny for Cedrik.  She's such a sweetheart.  Then we ate Easter lunch: ham, sweet potatoes, green beans and rolls.  Cherry pie for dessert.  And leftover to bring home.  As always, great food from her.

Cedrik and I returned home.  We sat on the front porch and chatted some more (with the furniture put back where they are supposed to be).  We had talked of taking a walk, but he said he wasn't feeling terribly well, a bit nauseous.   So he laid on the sofa and took a nap, while I read my book and watched over him.

After he woke up, we decided to get Chinese takeout (he was no longer nauseous), and so we did.    Brought it back and ate it.  Then we watched more of The Americas.  After a bit of that, at the end of one episode, I was feeling quite tired, but of course after his nap, he wasn't.  So I went to bed and told him to come up when he was tired.  At some point, he woke me up a bit coming into the bedroom, but he got in bed, and both of us were soon asleep.

Now I woke up this morning at the normal time, but of course, he was still sleeping.  So I got us breakfast and coffee from Rutters and came back here to eat mine.  I was waiting to give him more sleep before waking him up for the day.  But he woke up himself, over a phone call from one of his friends here in town.  I'm not going into that, it's no relevant to air those issues.  But he left for a bit to go to his friends house.  And when he returned, he was not feeling well (well he wasn't when he woke up, but it was worse now dealing with everything that was going on) and asked if I could take him back home.

Of course I did.  We had tentatively planned to eat at Montezuma's today for lunch, but he was back before lunch.  So since I had worked up an appetite for some Mexican, I just went there myself and had lunch there while reading my book.  Following that I came home watch the rest of the Americas and started a new documentary series  And now I'm just waiting to get tired before going to bed and starting the new week.
