Badass Birthday
Today, May 2, is the birthday of Catherine The Great, empress of Russia!
She was born in 1729 in, not Russia, but Prussia in the Holy Roman Empire. She wasn't even Russian. Nor was she of noble Russian blood. She married Peter II of Russia in 1745. When he died (by her overthrowing him) in 1762 when she was just 33 years old. She ruled Russia from that year until she herself died in 1796, at the age of 67.
She was definitely a Badass!
