Badass Birthday
Today, back in 1946 in New York City, John Spencer was born.
I was first exposed to John Spencer in the very early 90s when he played Tommy Mullaney. I enjoyed his work there. And then half a decade later, he portrayed Leo McGarry, the Chief Of Staff and longtime friend to President Bartlet in one of the BEST TV shows ever: The West Wing! He won an Emmy for the role in the West Wing.
Sadly, he passed away while the show was still filming. It was written into the show. He died on December 16, 2005 at the age of 59.
