Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1933, in Massachusetts, was born Caroll Spinney.
You probably don't recognize Caroll Spinney, but you absolutely recognize his work. From 1969 to 2018, he was Big Bird and at times, Oscar the Grouch too, on Sesame Street! He spent all those years with his right arm up in the arm, working the face, beak and neck of Big Bird. Ya gotta wonder how his arm didn't fall asleep being above his head so much.
At any rate, just shy of 50 years playing a character beloved to millions of kids world wide? Total badass!
