On this date in 1966 in Dallas Texas, Robin Wright was born.
I first discovered heron the afternoon soap Santa Barbara where she played Kelly Capwell. But she's also appeared in the movies The Princess Bride, Forrest Gump, Moll Flanders, Unbreakable, and of course, in TV she played the First Lady/Vice President/President in House of Cards, Claire Underwood.
She's been nominated for 11 Emmys, though not won any. She's been nominated for 5 Golden Globes, winning once for House Of Cards. And she's been nominated for 10 Screen Actor Guilds Awards, but never won any of them either.
Despite her lack of awards, her portrayal of Claire Underwood alone shows her what a badass she is.
