On this date, in 1966, sixty years ago, Star Trek was born!
The very first airing of any Star Trek episode, The Man Trap was on Thursday September 8, 1966.
The Man Trap: McCoy's old flame, a 'salt vampire', 4 crew members deaths, those rounds sucker scars....what an episode.
No, it's not the best episode. It's not even a great episode. But it WAS the first one aired! And without that, nothing that came after would have happened!
Totally badass!
