Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1942 in Iowa Marcia Wallace was born.
Marcia Wallace had a 5 decade career in movies, TV and the stage. She was known for her tall frame, her red hair and her distinctive laugh. Her breakout role, the one that made her famous, was as the wide-cracking receptionist Carol on The Bob Newhart show. Later, she was the voice of teacher Edna Krabappel on the Simpsons until her death in 2013. Hs was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1985 and became a fierce advocate for cancer awareness and treatment.
But it's her Simpsons character (for which she earned an Emmy) that makes her a badass though, cause even now, just sitting here, I can hear her voice and her laugh. ,
As stated she died in 2013 at the age of 71.
