All this talk of illegal immigrants got me thinking:  what about the superheroes?  Well let's see:

Superman, while raised in Smallville Kansas is actually an 'alien' alien and not even human.  So technically, he'd be an illegal.  Just as the Martian Manhunter is from, duh, Mars.  So another illegal 'alien'.  Wonder Woman is from Themiscyra (aka Paradise Island) and not a US citizen.  And even though Aquaman had an American father (and an Atlantean mother), I 'm not sure he'd qualify. I mean, he'd have dual citizenship, at the least.  Still, for the anti-immigrant wingnuts, I don't think that'd matter.  So we'll say no to him too.

That means, right there from the start 4 of the 7 founding members of the Justice League Of America would not be allowed in the USA.  That just leaves Batman, The Flash, and Green Lantern....not much of a League there.  And both Hawkman and Hawkgirl were aliens from Thanagar, while Red Tornado was an robot.

How about the Avengers?  Well, Thor certainly can't claim American citizenship, but the other four founding members: Iron Man, Hulk, Ant-Man and The Wasp, can.  But quite a few very prominent Avengers would NOT be American.  Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were born in Wungadore, to the German born Magneto and his Madga.    the Vision is an synthezoid, and while he was created on American soil, I doubt the wingnuts would consider him a citizen.  Black Panther is from Wakanda.  Plus he's black, so they're really REALLY gonna be against him.  Hercules was THE Hercules of myth, so I suppose he'd be Greek and not American. It's possible the Black Knight was English, but it's certain Black Widow is Russian!  Mantis, I think, was Vietnamese, but I KNOW Starfox was from Titan (Saturn's Moon), so he would be right out!  The Sub-Mariner's situation was similar to Aquaman's, but his wife, Marrina was another pesky alien.  So, there were lot's of Avengers that wouldn't have been welcome either.

And how about our favorite mutants, the X-Men?  The original five X-men were all American.  But Storm's from Kenya, Wolverine's Canadian, Nightcrawler is German, Colossus Russian, Banshee (and Siryn) Irish, Sunfire Japanese, Psylocke British, Sunspot Brazilian, Karma Vietnamese, Wolfsbane Scottish, Magma from some ancient hidden city left over from Ancient Roman times and Warlocke was an alien.

So yeah.....if all these right wingnut conservatives would have their way, America would be a lot less super!
