Today, while in Frederick with mom, we stopped at Barnes & Noble. And I went fucking crazy when it came to book buying! I remembered I had an online coupon for 20% off any item I'd buy off of Barnes & Noble.com. So the most expensive book I wanted to get in the store (at $29.99) I did NOT get, but once I got home, I looked it up online ($24.95 on sale) and used the coupon as well so it cost me only $20.44. Which still makes it the most expensive book I bought today. But whatever...
Update: and then, after posting this, I realized I needed the next three books in the Doctor Who series, so i ordered them, used, from Amazon.
