So, my Super Bowl Sunday.

I slept in a bit, then got up, showered, and waited for mom to stop by. She drove us to Wal-Mart, we both needed a few things.  And then we ate at Cafe Del Sol!  Delish!

Once I got home I texted Derick, as planned.  Occasionally he comes over and uses my washer & dryer for a load of clothes.  Usually when he does this, there's some bedtimesexxyfun while we wait.  However, when he texted me about it Saturday evening, I told him I wasn't sleeping well for the last few nights and was feeling grumpy, irritable, and didn't really feel like playing.  He said that was fine.   Unusual, but fine.

So he came over and did his laundry. And while he did it, he sat on one end of the couch playing a video game he had.  I sat on the other, either on my phone or reading.  We were chatting sometimes, I mean it wasn't all just silence.  He leaned his head on my shoulder at one point.  I laid my legs across his lap at a different time.  I chuckled and said "We're like an old married couple, just sitting quickly on a Sunday afternoon, doing our own things."  He shook his head, smiling.

At one point, we were both in the center of the sofa, leaning on each other, his head on my shoulder, my head resting on his head.  And we both fell asleep.  For like a half hour, just like that.  When we woke up, I said again about us being and old married couple and we both laughed.  When his laundry was done, he went home.

I changed my clothes, grabbed my things and headed out to my friend Duff's place for the Super Bowl party.  We've been doing this for like 20 years.  It's crazy, the only time we see each other throughout the year is on Super Bowl Sunday, but we hang out each and every Super Bowl Sunday.

So there was WAY too much food, like always, and WAY too much of the wrong kind of food for me (because teh diabetuuuuuuuuuus), and, as every year, I ate WAY too much of it.

None of us there really supported either team, but just the same, none of us there wanted to Patriots to win.  So we were all quite happy when the score was 28-3 Atlanta, but as the 4th quarter progressed, we became less and less happy.

At work, I had entered a betting pool.  I had $25 invested, and could have won money at the end of each quarter. I won nothing.  But as the game ended, I was so pissed off, I just threw the paper, my napkins and a paper plate into the trash, didn't even check.

Then, Tuesday, I'm coming into work and I pass a co-worker who calls me "Mr. Moneybags."  I look at him weirdly, but it turns out I WON!  The ending score was just what I needed it to be!  So it turns out, I won either $200 or $250 (still not sure, as I dont actually have the money yet)!!!

That extra money makes a Patriots win a bit more bearable!
