This is an amazing photo! It's taken by Lt. Col. Michael Collins in the orbital command module as the lunar module, containing the other two astronauts, Cmdr. Neil Armstrong and Col. Buzz Aldrin, is on it's way back to dock with the orbiting unit. It also shows the lunar surface and a half-Earth off in space.
I think this is an amazing photo for this reason: Every human who was alive when this was a taken is IN the frame of this photo except for one: the astronaut taking it.
Furthermore, every human who, up to this time, had EVER been alive, had lived their entire lives within the confines of this photo except for one: again, the astronaut taking it.
Amazing. Simply amazing.
