Check this out, real quick, don't know if everybody know (Part 828)...

Check This Out!

This is the cover of Uncanny X-Men #141, from all the way back in 1980.  It's the first part of the two part Days Of Future Past storyline, which is the basis for the X-Men movie of the same name a few years ago.

This cover, this layout, has become iconic.  One guy, protecting a female behind him, in front of a tattered wanted poster surrounding by debris and in a spot light...yeah, it's instantly recognizable to nearly any comic book fan of a certain age.

And since it's so iconic....it's been used for many other things.....

Here's one done for the X-Men Days Of Future Past movie I mentioned above.

And another for the movie, done by someone else.

This one is presumably for the Avengers, with Hawkeye in front of Scarlet Witch (although I'm not at all sure how one would 'slay' Thor...)

This one is for some weird Avengers/Justice League hybrid, where the JLA are all on the wanted poster and Thor and Wonder Woman are in front.

This is one for the Legion of Super-Heroes -Outlaws.  This one has Timber Wolf and Phantom Girl in front, which is appropriate since Timber Wolf is the Legionnaire most like Wolverine and Phantom Girl, like Kitty Pryde, walks through walls.

This is another one for the Legion of Super-Outlaws, however here, we have the three founding members, Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl, in front. And the irony of Ferro Lad being the only one of the poster not slain or apprehended, when in the comic books, Ferro Lad was the first Legionnaire to die in battle.

Here we have one showing Batman's rogue's gallery on the poster, with The Joker and Harley Quinn in front.

But this goes beyond just comic books!  Here we have a Star Trek version, were Locutus Of Borg, apparently, and possibly Sule and in front of the poster.

And here was have one from The Game Of Thrones, with Tyrion, Jon Snow and Dany in front of the poster....which naturally contains many many more photos than the usual posters!

And finally, we got one for Lil' Donnie.  I don't know how the guy in the front with him is, but the photos on the back?  Yep, dead on!
