Thirty five years ago today, the space shuttle Challenger blew up.
I was a senior in typing class when someone came in the room and told us. It kinda shocked us all, and very soon there after the Christa McAuliffe jokes started ("what was the last thing the space shuttle pilot said? Christa, don't touch that button!" ) I did not find them funny and found them in terribly bad taste.
Quite a loss.
