Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection
Today we're going back 25 years to April of 1997 and Astro City #8.
Astro City is an absolutely outstanding comic book series. It's part of it's own standalone universe, but it's got pastiches of all the big heroes: Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, The Fantastic Four, etc. This is part of the story arc involving the Confessor, which is the Batman-type character. At the end of the multi-story arc, we find out he's actually a vampire, but a superhero one! Man, did THAT come as a shock when I read it!
