Every time I see a conservative/right winger/Republican point to the upper map and say, "look at all the red!  How can the Democrats be winning with all that red???"  I have to chuckle. 

All that red is land.  And land doesn't vote.   People do. 

And so there's the lower map. That one show the number of PEOPLE and how they voted, not the land.  Does that map makes things any clearer?

(rhetorical question.  Obviously it won't make anything clearer to people who need to see it, because, with them, if it conflicts with their worldview, then it's fake and a lie.  You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him see the way elections actually are if he doesn't WANT to see it...or something like that)
