Last Monday night, I made my predictions for the mid-terms (it's HERE).  Let's see how I did.

What did I specifically say?

I predictions Democrats would lose somewhere around 25 seats in the House., leaving a final count roughly 236-199 seats Republican.
As of now, we don't know WHO going to control the House in Jan. But it's looking like whoever it is, is not going to have any more than a one or two seat majority.   That means the Democrats look to lose anywhere between 5-8 seats...and they as of now have a very slim shot at retaining the House.

In the Senate I predicted Republicans would have 51 seats, the Democrats 49.  As it turns out the Democrats currently have 50, and may have 51 depending on the outcome of the Georgia runoff.

I predicted Mark Kelly in Arizona was safe, and he did win, but by a much smaller margin than I expected.   I predicted John Fetterman would lose here in PA, and thankfully that didn't happen. I also predicted Senator Warnock would lose to Hershel Walker in GA, which may still happen, who knows?

For governorships, I predicted Abbott in Texas, Kemp in GA, and Ron DeathSentence in Florida would all win, and they did.   I couldn't believe PA would put election denier/insurrectionist Mastriano in the governor's mansion, and thank GOD they didn't.  Josh Shapiro will be our new governor.

I called them dismal, disappointing predictions, and thankfully, for the most part, I was wrong!  I have never been so happy to be so wrong in all my life!

I guess Americans aren't as stupid or shortsighted as I thought they were (although honestly, most of these races shouldn't have been anywhere NEAR this close).  Still, don't look a gift horse in the mouth and all that.
