At night, I lock the doors, where no one else can see....

For the 15 and a half years I've lived in this house, I've had the same ancient, outdated, ill-fitting, drafty doors,  Earlier this year, I finally decided to do something about it: replaced the doors.  And today, after two days work, they replaced the front door, back door and balcony door.

Front Door, old:

Balcony, old:

Monday, they did the balcony door and the back door, today they did the front door and both screen doors.  I wasn't supposed to mess with the blinds (they are IN the doors, in the window!) for 24 hours.  So the back door, right along the alley outside, had it's blinds up.  Which meant, anyone going up and down the alley could see right into the Kitchen.  Nope, not gonna have that.  So I had to improvise.

I used a chair, the snow shovel and the beach towel I set the shovel on, and made a window cover.

Necessity IS the mother of invention.

So anyway, new doors. Yep, got 'em.
