Today, 54 years ago in 1971, Pete Sampras was born.
In the mid-90s, Sampras was a force in the tennis world: 14 major singles titles, 7 Wimbledon, 2 Australian Open, and 5 US Open wins. He was ranked Number 1 in the world for 286 weeks, and held the year end number 1 spot for 6 years from 93-98. He's got the nickname Pistol Pete and was in the International Tennis Hall Of Fame since 2007.
All of this makes him a Badass!
