Badass Birthday
Today, 73 years ago in 1952, Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman was born in Peeskill NY.
Paul Reubens created, among his many characters during his stand up, Pee Wee Herman. He took the stand up character onto TV with Pee Wee's Playhouse and 2 movies (the second of which should be ignored). Nonetheless, the first movie and the Playhouse were genius and iconic.
Sadly, he passed away from cancer in 2023. There is a posthumously released documentary "Pee Wee As Himself" on HBO Max. A pretty great two part documentary at that, very interesting.
And Pee Wee himself was a total badass.
