Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1863 in Michigan, Henry Ford was born.
Yes, he founded the Ford Company. But also, he started the concept of franchises with his car dealership, insisted on making cars affordable for the common man, the five day work week, and his advocacy for using consumerism to promote global harmoney. Despite all the good he did, he was a raging anti-Semite, and that's something that needs noted and talked about.
And yet, what he did for the auto industry and the world at large surely makes him a badass.
