My last couple days....
Was up until almost midnight Wednesday night, trying to finish the 5th Harry Potter. Knew I couldn't get it done without staying up too late. Thursday, only worked a half day. Came home, finished the 5th book, started 6th, fell asleep and took a nap.
Wednesday found out one guy I know online has appeared in a few pornos from a well known studio. Saw him in an online clip, wasn't sure it was him, but was pretty sure because of the tattoos. He confirmed it later that night. Never knew.
Thursday afternoon Corey came over. He helped me with organizing and boxing up some of my comic books. Didn't get anywhere near done, but did make a big dent in them. Not giving up on comics, just trying to tidy things up. Afterwards, we watched Scott Pilgrim and had pizza and beer.
Today at work, I was eating a cracker and part of my crown broke off. Not a big part, and there's no pain, but still, crown's are freakin' expensive, I don't wanna have to get a new one. And it was just a freakin Saltine cracker! My GOD!
Gotta put the dog away tonight as mom's in a convention in DC. It's the Women Of Faith thing. She's staying overnight. Went down with a bunch of ladies from church. Hope they get home before the worst of Irene hits that area.
Backs not been hurting me, other than when I first wake up, that's good. For the last several days, the weather's been beautiful, cool and unhumid (totally a word). But last night, it get sticky again, so instead of sleeping with the windows open, I had to sleep with the a/c again for the first time in a while. Ah, I can't wait for autumn weather to get here and stay.
Work's been...work. Has its ups and downs lately. Very bipolarish (also, totally a word). Wednesday went better than I thought, Thursday sucked hard from the beginning (thank God I was only there half a day), today kinda blah. Tomorrow, who knows.
Stay safe in the hurricane if you're in its path.

Hopefully all will continue to be well.
I had a pretty good week. Had a client whose log management system was at 90% capacity. So I gave it my standard recommendations, trim index down to 90 days, but leave raw data intact and apply retention settings to that level so in the future it's all automatic.
Sometimes you get some guff from a client who wants both the data and index for a full year. Ha! But this time I get an email saying "Agreed! Go ahead!" so I did it.
Wow!
