Water rise, second day the sun is high...

So, Polt, how was the second day of your mini-vacation?  Why thanks for asking!

I slept in, slightly, until like 8:30, and then came down to a bowl of cereal.  I putzed around online downloading porn, harvesting crops, thinning out my playlist for this month's Bloggy CD Exchange.  Then I showered and gathered together my papers and headed out.

I went and got my taxes done, thanks to the awesome Bonnie at the local Liberty Tax Service.  I'll be getting a pretty decent refund, two hundred dollars more than last year, at any rate.  Mom called and told me grandma was back at the emergency room, and later in the day, she called to say they were admitting her because she has pneumonia.  Poor lady.  But at least she's getting it treated now.

I went and bought all my cards for the month of March.  Then I got myself some lunch at KFC.  I took this to mom's to let the dog out, and then I ate it there.  I read the paper and returned home here.  I putzed around some more online and read some more of my book.  Then I started an anti-viral on the laptop.

While that was running, I drove to the mall where I met Mr. AND Mrs. A Local Celebrity, Mr. David Parispeking.  We ate a Garfields, and dinner conversation consisted of my week, MRS. ALCMDPP's smut writings she getting published, the difference between gay smut written and read by women and that written and read for gay men, Peyton Manning, wasting tax dollars, political issues, how Mama Polt and Grandmama Polt are doing, Kris, and MR. ALCMDPP's job.

And then we went to the movies.  We watched John Carter of Mars.  Not a great film, but not a bad one either.  I was mildly entertained, althought MR. ALCMDPP thought it was horrible and a waste of time.  The Missus, however, was smarted and agreed with my assessment.

On the way home I stopped by Wal-mart to pick up several things.  Ran into an ex-client, who actually said hi and shook my hand and asked how *I* was doing.  That's kinda unusual.  And then I returned home, putzed around online, finalized the CD list, and then typed this.

All in all, the second day of mini-vacation was a pleasant one.  Now off to bed and the loss of an hour's sleep...damn Daylight Savings Time.

POLT
