Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection
Let's go back 32 years to September of 1984, when DC Comics published the second issue of the 3rd series of The Legion Of Super-Heroes.
This is back when Paul Levitz, the best Legion writer in history, was at the helm, and Keith Giffin was the artist and had no yet gone into his crazy artwork phase yet.
This was the second part of the Legion Of Super-Villains storyline, the ended with Karate Kid being killed by Nemesis Kid and then his wife, Queen Projectra, killing Nemesis Kid (thus being the ending bookend to the arc that began way back in 1966 when Karate Kid, Princess Projectra, Nemesis Kid and the ill fated Ferro Lad were all inducted into the Legion at once).
Great storyline. BTW, all the angry faces you see on the cover there are members of the Legion Of Super-Villains tearing up a Legion flag and snarling a lot.
