The massacre in Las Vegas?

I don't care.

I mean, I don't want those people to be dead or injured.  But the fact it happened?  I don't care.

Thoughts and prayers?  Pfffft.  We gave our thoughts and prayers to gay club victims in Orlando.  We gave our thoughts and prayers to the elementary school in Sandy Hook.  We gave our thoughts and prayers to the movie theater in Colorado.  We gave our thoughts and prayers to Congresswoman Gabby Gifford's public meeting in Arizona.  We gave our thoughts and prayers to the church in South Carolina.

And you know what those thoughts and prayers did?  Nothing.  Had they done anything at all, we wouldn't be talking about Las Vegas.

But we've made it clear we, as a nation, don't care.  We don't care about Las Vegas.  Or Orlando, Sandy Hook, Colorado, Arizona, South Carolina, or even in Virginia earlier this year when the Republican House Whip was shot along with some others.

Nope.  If we cared, we actually DO something.  We'd DO something about the epidemic of firearms on our streets.  But we as a nation have determined that the lives of twenty something innocent children in a school are LESS important then the ability own ANY firearm and ANY number of firearms.

And frankly, when we put guns over the lives of innocent children, then the gun control debate is over.  And America has lost it.

And therefore, part of the price of living in America is the realization that you can be the victim of a random mass murderer at any point in time and anywhere.

Making America Great Again.

So that's why I don't care.  And I won't care about the next mass murder.  Or the one after that.  Or the one after that.  Or the one after that.  Ad nauseum.
