SO...

Housekeeping stats for 2017

In 2017, via theaters, DVDs, Blu-Rays, cable TV and the Roku, I watched movies, documentaries and mini-series, a total of 176 of them.  And here are my yearly totals:

2017: 176
2016: 110
2015: 88
2014: 37
2013: 53
2012: 53
2011: 78
2010: 52
2009: 55
2008: 56
2007: 55
2006: 67
2005: 71
2004: 95
2003: 120
2002: 101
2001: 75
2000: 40

I lay the huge increase at the foot of the Roku, wherein I can watch three or four documentaries, one right after the other.  Further, of those 176, the only ones I saw in an actual theater were "Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 2", "Spider-Man: Homecoming", "Thor: Ragnarok", and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi".  Only 4 times did I go to a theater this year.  And really, the only time I want to go is when it's a superhero or sci-fi movie.

Book wise, this year I read only 39 books.  Which is better than last year, but still, lower than what I have read in the recent past.  But with the Roku and all the damn apps on my phone taking up my time, my reading has suffered.  Here are my yearly totals:

2017: 39
2016: 31
2015: 52
2014: 48
2013: 44
2012: 31
2011: 45
2010: 42
2009: 33
2008: 28
2007: 23
2006: 20
2005: 15
2004: 26
2003: 24
2002: 33
2001: 28
2000: 22
1999: 22

Breaking them down by category, I came up with this:

Doctor Who: 8
History: 8
Fantasy: 2
Fiction: 5
Local Interest: 1
Presidents: 3
Comic Books: 3
Gay: 1
Star Wars: 3
Star Trek: 1
Young Adult Fiction: 4

And then the number and cost of books bought, we have:

2017: 83 books for $691.88, average of $8.34 per book
2016: 57 books for $409.91, average of $7.19 per book
2015: 90 books for $1007.65, average of $11.20 per book
2014: 80 books for $813.24, average of $10.17 per book
2013: 59 books for $557.39, average of $9.45 per book

Buying double the number of books I read in a year is NOT a good plan to lower the size of my To Be Read pile....

Slutty Section (skim passed this if you don't want to know these)

Number of times I had sex:
2017: 101
2016: 80
2015: 78
2014: 74

Number of different sex partners:
2017: 37
2016: 22
2015: 28
2014: 22

Number of brand new, never been with before, partners:
2017: 27
2016: 15
2015: 14
2014: 9

My most regular sex partner was, like all the last couple years, Derick.  But also, three of those brand new partners were people that I have known for over five years or more, and just this year had sex with them.

And the 2017 Monthly Sex Chart!

And that's My 2017 In Stats!

I hope your 2017 was great too!
