Superhero Anydays
In the late 70's/early 80s, Marvel Comics had a small rectangular box in the upper left corner that showed headshots of the heroes in that issue. Most of them were drawn by the great John Byrne, as were these below. And these below show the X-Men from circa Uncanny X-Men #140, just about the time I started buying them off the racks.
Clockwise from upper left: Wolverine, Colossus, Sprite, Angel, Nightcrawler, and Storm.
