Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1812, in Hampshire England, Charles Dickens was born.
The literary genius of the Victorian era, Dickens was a renown satirist and advocate for social reforms and children's rights. He wrote many works that are still read and enjoyed today. He died in 1870 at the age of 58. How about a listing of some of his more famous works?
Oliver Twist
Nicholas Nickelby
David Cooperfield
A Tale Of Two Cities
Great Expectations
And of course, the perineal holiday tale: A Christmas Carol.
Many of these, and others of his works, have been made into Broadway plays and multiple versions made it onto film.
Someone who's works are still read, revered and enjoyed more than 150 years after their deaths is certainly the definition of a badass!
