Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1473, in Torun Poland, was born Nicolas Copernicus.
He proposed the groundbreaking heliocentric theory, saying that the Sun was at the center of the universe, not the Earth. In addition to achievements in astronomy, he made significant contributions to diverse fields, such as medicine, classical studies, translations, diplomacy, mathematics, economics, and even Catholic canon.
