This can NOT be emphasized enough. If you die, the people you work with may mourn you, but the company will have your job posted and be looking for a replacement within a week. And seriously, no one EVER lays on their death bed and regrets the weekends they spent with family, the nights they watched their kids ballet/soccer games, and the days they played games with and enjoyed family time. And no one wishes they had come work early more often, stayed late more often, worked over lunch and a couple weekends a month, just so they could get a pat on the head an 15 cent raise....and then be replaced a week after they leave.
Get your priorities straight.
