I took the road less traveled by (Part 4234)...

 MAPS!

Over the summer, the Republicans in Ohio, who control the state government there, changed to law to limit early voting sites to one per county.  It was naked example of voter suppression.   The blue area is Franklin County.  It houses the capital of the state, Columbus.   It has ONE early voting site. All the red counties, all 40 of them, also have ONE early voting site.

The population of Franklin County pretty much equals the population of those other 40 counties, TOTAL.

It's voter suppression because the population of Franklin County Ohio is 1.37 million people.  That means 1.37 million people, if they want to vote early, have to go to ONE place.

The other forty counties would each have on average 34,250 people.  It's obviously much easier, with much smaller lines and wait times, to vote when there 34250 people with you rather than 1.37 million.

The goal was to make the wait times SO long in Franklin County, that the voters there, predominantly Democrats, would just give up and not vote early.  Meanwhile, all the other counties would not have anywhere NEAR as long wait.

Republicans aren't even TRYING to hide it anymore.  They are truly shameless.
