Perez Appreciation Post
The last couple days I saw that Perez was in hospice, not for end of life care, apparently, but to help him recover from some infection he had. He does not look well...sadly. Damn cancer.
This is a cover from a Justice League of America comic from circa 1980, this was obviously during Perez's short run on the title.
This is one of the annual team ups of the JLA and JSA, and this is one of my favorites. The Ultra-Humanite (an enemy of the Earth-2 Superman) got villains from both Earths to attack specific heroes.
Anyway, on the cover on the board we have, in the top row, the members of the JLA: The Atom, Batman, Black Canary, Firestorm and Wonder Woman. In the second row we have the members of the JSA: The Flash, Hawkman, Hourman, Johnny Thunder and Superman.
In front of it, we have the assembled villains (with Ultra-Humanite not shown): The Mist (Earth 2), Signalman (Earth 1), The Monocle (Earth-2), Ragdoll (Earth-2), Killer Frost (Earth-1), The Cheetah (Earth-1), Brainwave (Earth-2), Psycho-Pirate (Earth 2) and the Floronic Man (Earth-1).
