The Justice Society was active on Earth-2 during World War II. After the war, into the early 50's, they remained active in various aspects. But in 1953, after they were called before McCarthy's House Un-American Activities Committee, and accused of being Communist, they disbanded and disappeared.
Until about 5 years later, when some of them were brought out of retirement for one case. And there was a mini-series published about it back in the 90s. This was the lineup from that mini-series.
Hawkman, The Flash, Starman, Black Canary and Green Lantern.
