You say it's your birthday...well, it's my birthday too, yeah....

And so today, at the exact moment I posted this, 56 years ago, I was born.

So, 56....what exactly is notable about 56?  Well....

-There's a town in Arkansas names Fifty-Six.

It's got a population of 159, so a bustling metropolis it is not.

The 56th element of the periodic table is Barium.

The 56th Congress ran from March 4, 1899 to March 4, 1901.  The Speaker Of The House then was David B. Henderson, Republican from Iowa.

Montana has exactly 56 counties.

Chile has the international calling code 56

Interstate 56 runs through the middle of the country.

In 1941 Joe Dimaggio of the New York Yankees scored a hit in 56 consecutive games, a record that stands even to this day.

The winner of the 56th Or LVI Super Bowl from the 2021 season (played in February 2022) was the Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 56th issue of Volume 2 of the Legion of Super-Heroes, published in January 1989, features Blok.

In the Minor Arcana of the Tarot Deck, there are exactly 56 cards, with 22 in the Major Arcana, resulting in the 78 total cards in the deck.

Jupiter and Saturn both have numerous moons.  The 56th discovered one of Jupiter is called, simply, LVI.  The 56th discovered one of Saturn is called Surtur.

The 56th episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation is Season 3's "The Price", first aired in November of 1989.  It's a, in my opinion, a mediocre episode at best.

The number one song for the year of 1956 was "Que Sera Sera" by Doris Day from the movie, "The Man Who Knew Too Much".

Fifty six men signed the Declaration Of Independence.

And the 56th nation to join the United Nations was Myanmar, then called Burma.

So, I mean, to be in all this good and interesting company, as a 56 year old middle-aged man, can't be all bad, can it?
