Today, Jimmy Carter turns 100 years old.
He was admittedly not a great president. But he has been, without a doubt, THE best ex-president we've ever had. Building houses for Habitat For Humanity, in his 90s. Monitoring elections in other countries, other troubled democracies. Donated his time and effort in other charities. Started the Carter Center, which helps around the world in many ways.
He also lived his life as a true Christian should: with compassion, judgement-free, and helped those in need as Christ himself did.
He has already done so, but I say God Bless Jimmy Carter anyway;
As an aside, I saw online today the Carter was born closer to the death's of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in 1826 than how close he is to today in 2024. That just blows my mind.
