Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection
This month, we travel back to October of 1983 and the Defenders #124.
This was a watershed issue because a new creative team took over and most of the members of the team left clearing the way for a new team of Defenders. Remaining was, as shown on the cover, Valkyrie and Gargoyle. Joining was, as is show, former X-Men Angel and Beast. Soon, former X-Man Iceman would join as well. And later, other heroes joined. The series, frankly, wasn't very good, as I recall. The stories were mediocre, the art got worse when this artist left. The series limped on for a year of two before it was canceled.
