Best Of.....
So recently I did my review of the best episode of each of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Seasons as well as the best of those best episodes. Today I think we'll do the Best Of The Worst! Which ST:TNG episode is the worst?
ST:TNG is a pretty good series, and there's more good than mediocre episodes and even less bad ones. But there ARE some doozies. Some like....
Code Of Honor, Season 1, episode 4
-The crew beams down to a planet of offensive Black stereotypes
Justice, Season 1, episode 8
-Wesley is condemned to death for breaking some rule on the planet of half naked running people.
The Child, Season 2, episode 1
-Troi is raped impregnated by some alien force and gives birth quickly to a kid who ages rapidly. And through this all no one seems to care about the sexual assault.
Up The Long Ladder, Season 2, episode 18
- The Enterprise transports a load of Irish stereotypes
Sub Rosa, Season 7, episode 14
-Dr. Crusher has sex with a ghost who lives in a candle...or some such thing.
Masks, Season 7, episode 17
-a bunch of Masks overtake Data. (I still have no idea what the hell this one was all about)
But none of these stinkers is the worst episode. That 'honor' belongs to...
Shades Of Gray, Season 2, episode 22
The final episode of the second season. Riker contracts some disease and must be forced to relive memories to kill....or something. Whatever. It's just a plot device for a Flashback episode aka a Clip Show. I don't know if they ran out of story ideas or needed to save money or what caused this sad excuse for a Television episode, but whatever the reason, it made this piece of tripe...
The Worst Star Trek: The Next Generation Episode.
