Badass Birthday
In 1964, 61 years ago, in New Jersey, Janeane Garofolo was born.
She started as a standup comedian and then was in several tv shows, including Saturday Night Live in the 94-95 season. I'm pretty sure that was my first exposure to her. She then went on to a whole slew of movies, including Dogma and the very underrated Mystery Men. She's won two Primetime Emmy awards and a Screen Actor's Guild Award as well. And she's a political activist for progressive causes.
But why is she a bad ass. Because she has a prominent role in the last two season of the West Wing as Louise Thornton who worked on the campaign of Congressman Matt Santos. Total badass role for a total badass actress.
