In case you don't remember, these are the "Christians" who protested at Matthew Shepard's funeral, carrying signs saying Matt's In Hell. These are the "Christians" who protest at the funeral's of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan because these soldiers are supporting a country that allows gays and lesbians to live. They're protesting in front of the high school because the kids there are being 'brainwashed' by the teachers and the government into supporting gays and lesbians. And not, presumably, just stoning them as the "Christian" members of this "Church" would like.
At any time, this kinda stuff is irritating, but in light of the fact that no less than 6 young men killed themselves in the last two weeks because of bullying and being called gay and other names, he protest is ill-timed. Of course, sympathy, compassion and even common sense is not well known among members of this "Church".
On Saturday, the paper said about 30 members of the "church" would be there protesting. A Facebook groups lists 300 people as saying they'll show up in a peaceful counter-protest, with a futher 600 saying they 'may' show up. I do hope any counter-protest is peaceful, to do otherwise would be to lower themselves to the same level of idiocy as the "Christians" involved in the original protest.
I think there's two ways to handle "Christians" like these people. One is to simply ignore them. They thrive on publicity, and if no one shows up to counter-protest, and no one pays any attention to them, and the media ignores them, then they'll just skulk away frustrated. Which is really what they should do. The other option is to do what this guy below has done:
I've also seen photos of a crowd of guys kissing each other next to the "Christians" protest.
Yeah, that's the way to do it: piss off the "Christians" and have sexy man kisses at the same time.

We can only hope that the people of that "church" aren't breeding and they'll die out a few years.
They tried to get into Canada once not long ago, maybe have been to protest a military funeral, I believe our border services denied them entry, as they should have.
