I would not sell my collection, if I did, I would cry (Part 2)...

Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection

Today we go back 40 years, to the years of disco, Jimmy Carter, and Charlie's Angels, August of 1977, and What If? volume 1, #4.

What If? was a title published that asked what if things in the Marvel Universe had happened differently.  (What If Rick Jones became the Hulk instead of Bruce Banner?  What If the Fantastic Four had never gotten their powers?  What If Spider-Man had joined the Fantastic Four?  What if Spider-Men had saved his Uncle Ben?  What if Jean Grey/Phoenix had not died?  Etc).

This particular issue shows, even after Cap and Bucky's assumed death, the Invaders being kept together by President Truman, changing their name to the All Winners Squad, and a few of their adventures.  I didn't by it when it came out, as in 1977 I was almost exclusively buying DC Comics, but I DID buy it later on as a back issue.  And it's a pretty darn good one, actually.
