We could be heroes, forever and ever (Part 60)...

 Anniversary Avengers

Next we have Jack Of Hearts.  These last couple were right before I stopped collecting the Avengers.   Jack Hart was the son of a human man and an alien woman.  From her, he gained his powers of slight, toughness and energy projection.  But the power grew too much for him to control, so he left earth.

He returned to ask the help of the Avengers.  They made a room in their mansion that syphoned this energy off slowly so he wasn't a danger to himself or anyone, but he had to stay inside the room up to 14 hours a day to become safe.  he joined the team and went on a few missions when he could be out of the room safely.

After a while he tired of being stuck in the room for more than half a day at a time, so he decided to kill himself.  He flew into space and allowed his energy to build up and exploded without harming any other person.

Of course, since it's comic books, I'm sure he was resurrected at some point, but I wasn't reading Marvel if/when that happened.

Jack of Hearts has not yet appeared in the MCU.
