The young Kunta Kinte in Roots.
Lt Commander Geordi LaForge in Star Trek The Next Generation
And hosting Reading Rainbow on PBS, for which he won 12 Daytime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award.
Of course, he's had lots of other roles and well as directorial outings. Badass.
