Superhero Anydays
Back in the late 80s, Marvel decided to make a whole "New Universe" and released about 6 or 8 new titles with all new characters. I don't think it all lasted more than 3-4 years before everything was canceled. Most of the titles just weren't any good. One of the few good ones was D.P. 7. That stood for Displaced Paranormals...and there were 7 of them in this group.
They all gained powers suddenly from a cosmic event. All 7 were wanted by quasi-government agency who wants to put them in a facility in Wisconsin to help them deal with the new powers, but actually wants to study them and try to replicate things.
At any rate, the 7 are:
Lenore Fenzl aka Twilight, her skin gives off translucent light that puts people to sleep
Charlie Beck aka Friction, she can eliminate or increase friction between objects
Dennis Cuzinski (sitting) aka Scuzz: his skin exudes a corrosive substance
Jeff Walters aka Blur: he constantly vibrates at a high rate of speed
Randy O'Brian aka Antibody: can project dark figures of substance that can fly
Stephanie Harrington aka Glitter: can heal and energizes others and well as being very strong and tough
David Landers aka Mastadon: became tall, thick, VERY strong, very tough
The series was not only written and drawn very well, but the premise was unique and that made it interesting too.
