Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1920 in St. Louis, Shelley Winters was born.
She had an acting career that spanned seven decades! She won two Oscars out of 4 nominations, 1 Golden Globe out of 6 nominations, an Emmy and 2 BAFTA Awards. She started playing the blonde bombshell roles and in the 90s, she had a reoccurring role on the TV show Rosanne as Nana Mary.
Despite all this, I consider her a Badass from the first role I remember seeing her in: Belle Rosen the former swimming champ in 1972's Poseidon Adventure! man, did she eat that role up!
She passed in 2006 at the age of 85.
