We let it fall and on the second day...

Puntabupoolparty, Day 2 (Saturday)
Satruday morning arrived and I got out of bed and ready way early, like 9:00. Which, believe me IS way early for me. Tim and I made plans to hit the continental breakfast, and when we got there we ran into Harry (of the Michelle M. & Harry fame) who had just finished his meal. The three of us sat together while Tim and I ate breakfast (I avoided the make-your-own-waffle machine, as it looked too tricky and I didn't wanna look stupid). Afterwards, the three of us went to take a short walk, which ended up being a 50 minute walk around nearly abandoned industrial parks. Then we returned to the room to rest before the big party.

At the party, in addition to myself, and Craiggers, there was Patricia (his mom), Sonny (his dad), Amanda (his sister), FDOT, Tam, her daugher Kristin, Michelle M. & Harry, Justin, Paul, David, Josh, Enrico, VUBOQ, Adam, Mikey, Jere, Nathan, and Chris D. There were cameo appearances by Natalie Portman, Craig's Wife, Super Viagra, Felice, and Evil Bunny. There was also a large buffet of universally delicious foods, more alcohol than the average bar has on hand on a Satruday night, belly flops, Vegemite, lots of cameras, orange creamcicle punch, group photos, and much much mingling.

The party started about 2:00pm, and I'm pretty sure I left about 10:30pm, and it still doesn't seem like I spent enough time with this unbelievably awesome group of people. Following the party, Nathan drove me back to the hotel, as he was staying in my room the next two nights. We hung out and talked a bit, getting to know each other and then went to sleep.

And of course, there are photos of the day!

This is what I had for breakfast. Since I'm in the Biggest Loser contest on Cocky&Rude, I certainly did NOT have a bowl of corn flakes with whole milk, a bagel with strawberry and grape jam, a hard boiled egg, nor a cup of orange juice to wash it all down with. Nope, no sir, not me.

Mikey, wearing his red high top sneaker, and Tam NOT wearing hers. Unless they traded shoes when I wasn't looking.

The Purple Puntabulous Bathroom! YAY!!!

After a 9 hour road trip that actually took 12 hours, and a detour through Connecticut, Nathan finally arrived, wearing a purple swimsuit no less!

To demonstate his physical prowess, David hefted first Michelle M. and then VUBOQ. But really, as pixie-ish as they both are, was that really a challenge? Someone suggested he pick me up like that, which I was sure he couldn't do. Although, I said he could probably hold one of my legs, and thusly he did, holding me just like he's holding VUBOQ here, albeit with my right leg on the ground. I didn't get a photo, but Michelle M. did...one of many she's gonna have to send me.

Natalie Portman, Craig's Wife, getting a little sugar while Felice watches the alcohol wantingly.

Purple bush in the incredible botanical garden that was the Puntabubackyard.

David and Harry (of the Michelle M. & Harry fame), the only two to actually go IN the pool at the Puntabupoolparty.

The bench. We pulled our money, gave it to Craig and had him buy his parents something nice, which was this. It was our gift to them for opening thier home to a bunch of strangers like us. And you don't get more strange than us.

Patricia and Sonny enjoying the bench. Anyone want any CAW-fee to go with that?

The gang, in one of the many different combinations of mingling.

This is as far as Jere got into the pool.

Mikey demonstrating his greatest talent. FDot is apparently shocked and Chris D. intrigued.

Patricia and Craig. I LOVE Patricia! She's so much fun, and a great sport. AND a helluva a Scrabble player!

Craig + Vegemite = this look

Mikey + Vegemite = this view, pre-vomiting.

Harry + Vegemite = this view. He musta liked it. Or was too drunk to actually taste it.

A photo at night of Enrico and Craig when my flash didn't go off. But does anyone else find it odd that one flash is aimed at Enrico's face and another at Craig's crotch?

Another permutation of the mingling.

Michelle M. had photos taken of everyone. And just so you know, she's standing on a ladder next to me so she can appear a bit taller. She's really only 8 inches tall.

The girls aka The Puntabulous Ladies Auxiliary.

Harry and Michelle. Aren't the just the cutest couple?

Cocky, Rude and Awesome. You figure out which is which, I still can't.

Hmmm, um, boys, is there something you want to tell the rest of us?

And the obligatory group photo, thanks to Chris D. and his timer! For those who may not know everyone we have, left to right, FDOT, Chris D., David, Nathan, Mikey, VUBOQ, Michelle M, Enrico, Justin, Paul and Tam. Back row, Adam, Craig, Jere and me! (You'll note who made sure he got his arm around Craig's neck possessively for a few photos, I trust)

Still more to come!

Day one, day one and it already feels like forever...

Puntabupoolparty, Day 1 (Friday)

This day was a travel day for me, going from Harrisburg to NYC on Amtrak and then to the middle of Long Island on the Long Island RailRoad. Craig picked me up there and took me to the hotel. Later, all of those of us already there (Tam, Kristin, FDot, Craiggers, Michelle M. & Harry) met at my hotel room (Party in Room 105!), and then we went to eat at a wonderful Mama Someone-Or-Other's Italian Restaurant. We ate TOO much salad, pasta, and dessert and most of us had several drinks. After that we returned to the hotel, but went to Harry & Michelle's room where we sat around, talked, drank some LaBatt's Blue (thank you, Harry & Michelle!). And then we split up and went our seperate ways, all of us anxious and excited for the next day like little kids on Christmas Eve.

And of COURSE, I got photos.

The huge cabinet in my hotel room. Nice TV, even though I never turned it on once. I had the laptop to entertain me, and of course the last two nights I had Nathan.

The shower curtain. LOVE it! It's like a Psycho curtain! Ya know, it covers everything, but it's got a transparent part where you head is so you can see the freak in his mama's clothes coming at you with a knife! Nice.

Craiggers laying on the bed....this is the first, and unfortunately most probably the last time, I'm ever gonna see Craiggers lying in my bed.

Kristin and Tim, clearly enjoying and as impressed with the room as I was.

Tam, ready to slam the camera out of my hand. But then she realized I wasn't Justin, and she didn't care.

At the restaurant, we ordered Mama's Delight, which fed supposedly 6-8 people, but I think it was more likely able to feed a typical family living in most small European countries. For about a week. It was stuffed shells, baked ziti, lasagna, sausage & peppers and lots of other stuff all smothered in cheese. I'm pretty sure it was also called "Clogged Arteries On A Platter".

You can't get a proper perspective on it's size from the photo alone, so that's my hand for comparison. WOW!

The Puntabupeeps at the meal. Harry and Kristin weren't allowed in this cause they don't have their own blogs and aren't at all cool like the rest of us are.

The almost equally huge desert, of which I had none, since I'm on the diet thingee over at Cocky & Rude.

Amazing how rosy cheeked Craiggers is. That clearly is not his first alcoholic beverage of the evening. Or perhaps its just a reflection off the "Wanton look/make me your love muppet" Canada t-shirt.

Look at us all drinking and taking photos and looking all yellowish. At first I thought it might be the camera, but no, after all the drinks we had, I think the alcohol oozing out of our pores was actually creating a haze in the room.

My room was 105, the deaf roof apparently, because it had a doorbell. Which everyone rang. And then had to knock because no one answered the door. The doorbell didn't make noise, it flashed some bright lights on the walls, especially in the bathroom. With all the lights and mirrors and tile and stuff in there, it looked like Studio 54 circa 1978 in there. Sans Truman Capote, Cher, Liza and all the cocaine. Even so, on Sunday night, Nathan and I paid some kid from a nearby room $10 to stand outside and push it, had my iTunes set to play ABBA, KC & the Sunshine Band and Donna Summer, and danced the night away.

Tooshie Tuesdays
I wanted to do this week's theme about the Puntabupoolparty, but since last week's theme was Tooshies And Pools, I was a bit stumped. Then I remembered in addition to the pool, we went to the beach. SO this week's theme is: Tooshies At The Beach!

MONDAY'S HOT SHIRTLESS GUY PHOTOS
In case you haven't already heard, I spent this past weekend at the Puntabupoolparty in Long Island. I didn't have a Monday's Hot Shirtless Guy Photos post predone because I wanted to use photos from the party. And so without further ado, I give you this week's theme: Hot Shirtless Guys At The Puntabupoolparty!

Paul

FDot

Harry, of the Michelle M & Harry fame

Jere

Adam & Mikey, and I STILL cannot tell which one is Cocky and which one is Rude!

David wore the skimpiest swimsuit

Josh

Enrico

Chris D.

VUBOQ didn't actually go IN the pool he just sat next to it, consumed alochol and tried not to get too crispy from the sun.

I forgot to get a photo of Nathan at the pool, but I got one the next day when we were at the beach.

Justin, on the other hand, didn't let a little like water deter him from his photo taking.

Tam, Michelle M. and Kristin just sat nearby, enjoying the views and gossiping about the boys

Craiggers was so exhausted from his hosting duties, he collapsed next to the pool. The fight over who would give him CPR was violent, bloody and epic.

Craiggers' sister Amanda, she of the "Best Feet" contest, never made into the pool either. She just sat there and showed off her goods.

Craiggers' parents loved the bench we got for them as a thank you gift. But not apparently as much as they love each other, as they barely broke the liplocked embrace to thank us.

And someone even somehow managed to capture a photo of ME at the pool!

Party people in the house ooh, party, ah, party ooh, party...

So yeah, I'm home. After a wonderful weekend in Puntabuland. Meeting fellow bloggers, some I've met before, some for the first time. Today was the travel home day and after a broken zipper on the suitcase, discovering I bought a ticket for the wrong day and had to buy another one, the train stopping in the middle of nowhere for us to sit on the tracks and not move on three different occasions, and mutliple construction areas on the highway home, I finally made it here. And I am exhausted. So, no, no marathon Puntabuphoto post from me yet. Hopefully, maybe tomorrow.

I did however make a few additional discoveries on this vacation.

6. Craiggers has the bladder the size of a walnut.
7. Sitting on the floor of Penn Station in NYC allows your eyes to be right at crotch level. Nuff said, eh?
8. Beaches on Cherry Grove are pretty awesome.
9. Bassoonists sometimes make adorable little baby bear snoring noises while sleeping.
10. The people that go with the 'no clothes option' at a clothing optional beach are usually NOT the one you WANT to exercise that option.
11. Craiggers' mom is like Mama Polt, except with a Bronx accent.
12. Whoever took the "David Pasteelnick In Under 10 Minutes" in the "Who Will Be First In The Pool And When?" bet, won.
13. Canadians are silly creature.
14. Make sure you have the correct date when you purchase train tickets. And then double check them to make doubley sure. And then triple check.
15. Vegimite tastes like ass...and NOT in a good way.
16. Uniformed soldiers armed with big firearms in public transit stations are necessary in today's world but nonetheless unnerving.
17. Michelle M. is just like an elf: Small, interesting, outgoing and magical.
18. It's practically impossible to tell of Adam or Mikey, which is the Cocky one and which is the Rude one.
19. Who knew Chris D. was such an awesome bartender?
20. Long Island is not only an island, but is long as well.

More after I have some rest and relaxation.
