Scott Bakula is an actor on TV and on the stage. He's played many roles and in fact earned a Tony nomination for his work on Broadway. But he's here cause of his starring roles in two different badass TV shows: Quantum Leap and Star Trek Enterprise. Any actor who can play roles in two different areas of SciFi fandom certainly qualifies for a badass.

Lazarus Lane was a Mexican/American bank teller in the Old American West of the 19th Century. He was injured during a bank robbery and struck by lightning, both things throwing him into a coma. He was brought our of it by a Native American shaman called Wise Owl. Upon recovery, El Diable became a vigilante hunting down those who commit crimes. He was an expert marksman and horseman and also used a bullwhip, a bolo, and a Bowie knife, as needed.
