Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1902 in Illinois, Ray Kroc was born.
Ray Kroc was a businessman who did not found McDonald's, but he bought it in 1961 and served as it's CEO from 1967 to 1973. He transformed McDonald's into a global phenomenon by introducing innovations such as standardizing the menu, standardizing strict rules for franchisees, and creating more efficient food preparation systems. Under his leadership, McDonald's aggressively expanded both in the USA and internationally into a fast food powerhouse.
When he passed in 1984, McDonald's had 7500 restaurants in the USA and in 31 other nations and the total world wide says the year before were $8 billion dollars.
Total McBadass!
