Grabs my soul, shakin' through my body like a Super Bowl (2014 Season)....

As I'm sure all of your know, Super Bowl XLIX (49 for those non-Roman numeral readers amongst you) is taking place a this coming Sunday.  And it's time for me to use several different categories to give all of you the inside info on who's going to win the game!  Let's begin!

1) The Cities

(New England) Boston, Massachusetts

Seattle, Washington

Okay, I've never been to either place.  So let's go by their nicknames: Seattle is known as the Emerald City, Boston is known as...Bean Town.

Winner: Seahawks (obviously)
************
2) Team Name

New England Patriots
Patriot: a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests
with devotion.

Seattle Seahawks
Seahawk: a brown, white, and black predatory seabird with a hooked beak

Winner: Patriots
************
3) Team Logo

New England Patriots:

Seattle Seahawks:

Hmmm, I don't know...I'm gonna have to say they're pretty much the same, in terms of coolness, so...

Winner: Tie
************
4) Season Record/Win Percentage

New England Patriots: 14-4
Seattle Seahawks: 14-4

So again...

Winner: Tie
************
5) Super Bowl History

New England Patriots have been to 7 Super Bowls and only won 3 of them: 42.86 win percentage
Seattle Seahawks: have been to 2 Super Bowls and won 1 of them: 50 win percentage

Ergo:
Number of Appearances: Patriots
Number of Wins: Patriots
Best win percentage: Seahawks

So, Winner: Patriots
************
6) Coaches

New England: Bill Belichick.

He is 62 years old.  He's been head coach of the Patriots since 2000 (15 years).  He's coached the team to 6 prior Super Bowls and 3 wins.

Seattle: Pete Carroll

He is 63 years old.  He's been head coach of the Seahawks since 2010 (5 years). [Interestingly, he was the Patriots head coach from 1997-99, immediately prior to Belichick's arrival] He's coached the team to 1 prior Super Bowl, with that being a win.

Belichick has the experience of more years with his team, but Carroll's done more with his team, and taken them to more wins, in less time, than Belichick.

Considering how all this kinda balances each other out, I'll just say I've never, EVER seen Belichick smile, maybe he doesn't know how to, and Carroll's all kinds of emotional all the time.  So I'm giving the edge to the smiling emotional guy.

Winner: Seahawks
************
7) Team Quarterbacks: Experience

New England: Tom Brady, 37 years old.  Been with the Patriots since 2000 (15 years).  Led the team to 6 prior Super Bowls, winning 3 of them.  NFL MVP twice.

Seattle: Russell Wilson, 26 years old.  Been with the Seahawks since 2012 (3 years).  Led the team to 1 prior Super Bowl, with that being a win. NFL Rookie Of The Year, 2012.

I've got to go with the guy who's been at this team 5x's longer than the other, has been to a Super Bowl 6xs more than the other, and has won 3xs more Super Bowls than the other: Brady.

Winner: Patriots
************
The experience of the quarterbacks is noteworthy, but now on to the REALLY important stuff:

8) Team Quarterbacks: Cuteness (Face)

New England: Tom Brady

Tom doesn't look his 37 years, but he's showing his age, and the hairthing helps, but....then there's....

Seattle: Russell Wilson

Looks younger than his 26 years, but damn that smile!  And his pinchable cheeks.  Oh he's just aDORable.

Winner: Seahawks
************
9) Team Quarterbacks: Sexiness (Body)

Unfortunately, while there are several shirtless pics of Brady, Russell seems to have NEVER taken his shirt off in public.  So let's go with them in the next best thing: Wife-Beaters!

New England: Tom Brady

Seattle Seahawks: Russell Wilson

Pffffft, is there ANY doubt?

Winner: Seahawks
************
10) Other Star Player

New England: Rob Gronkowski, tight end
Damn....looks like The Gronk is tight EVERYWHERE!

Seattle: Richard Sherman, cornerback

Even with the dreads and that rocking, lean, hot body Sherman has, I really think I gotta go with The Gronk on this one.   Might have been different if I found a pic with Sherman in red boxer briefs...

Winner: Patriots
************
11) Team city distance from Super bowl

The closer the city is, the more likely there'll be more fans of that team in the stands, so...

New England (Boston), Mass to Glendale, Arizona: 2699 miles
Seattle, Wash to Glendale, Arizona: 1401 miles

Winner: Seahawks
**********
12) My Bets

This year, I have picked the Seattle Seahawks.  ALCMDPP has conccured with that decision (meaning he's going to owe me $27 at the end of the season, since he's not taking a bet on the Super Bowl).

I'm also certain Ghostie would disagree with us and pick the Patriots, as they are HIS team.  But since Ghostie's not in the betting game with us, it's moot.  So...

Winner: Seahawks
************

So that brings the final tally to:

Seattle Seahawks: 6 wins
New England Patriots: 4 wins
Ties: 2

And therefore, Seattle will win it's second Super Bowl in a row, joining the 67-68 Packers, 73-73 Dolphins, 75-76 Steelers, 79-80 Steelers, 89-90 49ers, 93-94 Cowboys, 98-99 Broncos, and the 04-05 Patriots to do so.

Bank on it.

I'll have to tell Harry - he'll be happy to hear a Seattle win is bankable : ).
